The Beginning
Sempre Cosí is co-founded and co-owned by Matt Signore and Matthieu Lauriot Prevost.
Matt and Matthieu met in the late 1990’s when they were both working for Island Def Jam in New York. Soon enough their professional relationship morphed into a friendship cemented by the shared values and experiences that are now the foundation of Sempre Cosí.
They worked together again at Warner Music Group. Through the years, Matthieu has always been impressed by Matt’s ability to listen to people and suggest human solutions to the business challenges they faced.
When the news broke that Matt would leave Warner, Matthieu called him to suggest he use his unique skill set to take the next step of his professional life. What started as a simple friendly phone conversation slowly became a business venture called Sempre Cosí.
Matt Signore was Chief Operating Officer of Warner Music Nashville from 2017 to 2020. During his tenure, the label had a creative and financial resurgence. Matt previously served five years as the President of WEA Corp., which provides sales, analysis, account management and supply chain management for the worldwide organization. Prior to this role, Signore held senior positions at Island Records and Island Def Jam.
Matt is the President of the board of Porter’s Call, a non-profit that provides free counselling services to artists and their families. He is also a graduate and board member of the esteemed Leadership Music program.
Founding partner Matthieu Lauriot Prevost, a London-based independent manager and music consultant with over 30 years of experience in the industry, is in charge of running the business organisation and marketing of Sempre Cosí, as well as working with clients on some specific issues.
